why we like NTUC Income's Star Secure

We like NTUC Income’s Star Secure because it is the cheapest whole life insurance plan in Singapore and offers the most critical illness coverage.

Based on our comparison, we found that the Star Secure is up to 20% cheaper than the most expensive whole life plan in Singapore.

It’s the only one that provides coverage for accidental death, waives premiums and pays you a lump sum of up to 24 months of your premiums if a family member passes, and waives your premiums should you get retrenched.

Its ECI/CI rider covers you for up to 172 critical illness conditions – the highest on the market – future unknown CI conditions, and certain mental illnesses.

Apart from that, there’s a hospitalisation benefit rider that pays you cash benefits should you be hospitalised.

To sweeten the cherry on top, the NTUC Income Star Secure has one of the highest surrender values on the market once you’re 90.

However, we do have to point out that its TPD definitions are not as comprehensive as other life plans where there are no definitions for ADLs.

Nonetheless, we stick by our words to say that this is the best whole life insurance plan in Singapore, with it also being the cheapest and providing the most comprehensive CI coverage.
